Wander through narrow streets lined with shops and cafés, admire the views across the Bay of Naples or settle into a pavement café in Piazza Tasso to watch the world go by.
You might choose to enjoy a leisurely lunch overlooking the sea, browse the local shops selling traditional limoncello or simply relax at your hotel.
Overnight: Sant'Agnello, Sorrento
Day 3 – Pompeii and Naples
Today you'll step back almost 2,000 years with a guided visit to Pompeii, one of the world's most remarkable archaeological sites.
Buried beneath volcanic ash following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79, the ancient city offers an extraordinary glimpse into everyday Roman life. Explore its streets, villas, temples and frescoed houses with a knowledgeable local guide.
Later, continue to Naples for a panoramic tour of this fascinating city.
See the impressive Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace and the famous San Carlo Opera House, before enjoying spectacular views across the bay from Posillipo Hill.
Overnight: Sant'Agnello, Sorrento
Day 4 – The spectacular Amalfi Coast
Discover one of Italy's most famous coastal landscapes as you travel along the breathtaking Amalfi Drive.
The winding road hugs the cliffs high above the Mediterranean, revealing wonderful views of colourful villages, terraced hillsides and turquoise waters.
Admire the famous pastel-coloured houses of Positano before continuing to the historic town of Amalfi.

Alex's view
After recently visiting with my family, I can attest that the Amalfi Coast is spectacular, but its narrow, winding roads and busy towns can make exploring independently a challenge for all but the hardiest of drivers! That's where an escorted tour really comes into its own. You can enjoy the coastline, explore the extraordinary ruins of Pompeii and visit Capri without worrying about transport or logistics. Just don’t drop your room key off the Anacapri chair lift like I did!
I'd particularly recommend this for those of you who are first-time visitors to the region and who want to see the highlights without the stress of organising everything yourself.
